John A. Vigna is an assistant professor in the Department of Social Sciences (SOSH) and the Department of History & War Studies at the United States Military Academy. He teaches military and American history, economics, and American politics.
He is also a program manager in the Army’s Office of Economic and Manpower Analysis and is actively involved in several Department of the Army-level talent management programs and initiatives to include the Career Satisfaction Program, Talent-Based Branching, AIM2, and IPPS-A.
Mr. Vigna is also an officer representative for the ˮAV˵ men's soccer team and conducts ˮAV˵ tours for SOSH events and VIPs.
The Roxbury, New York, native graduated from USMA in 1988. He served nearly 24 years as an engineer officer with assignments in a variety of unit-types and locations.
